ALDI Healthy Picks

How does the score work?

Every product gets a score out of 100, worked out the same way the Yuka app does it:

60 points – nutrition. Based on calories, sugar, saturated fat and salt (bad) against fibre, protein and fruit/veg content (good), per 100g.

30 points – additives. Full marks with no worrying additives. Moderate-risk additives (e.g. phosphates, carrageenan, sweeteners) cost points. A high-risk one (e.g. nitrites in ham, some colourings) caps the whole score at 49. If there's no ingredient list we give 24.

10 points – organic.

75+ Excellent   50–74 Good   25–49 Poor   under 25 Bad

Everything here already passed the "healthy" filter, so scores run high. Use them to compare products within an aisle. Nutrition data comes from Open Food Facts matched by name, so the occasional match can be wrong – check the product page.
